live tournaments.

Hi all, Looking to play some different live tournaments, unfortunately for me, i have to travel a fair distance if i want to play at a decent casino with a decent prize pool. I live in kings lynn and was wondering if any other members lived in my vicinity (30 miles) who would fancy taking it in turns to drive. Luton, northants, notts, up to going anywhere really, within reason. lol Or even others who are willing to pay petrol money and i'll drive.

Hi Chubbers.
Geeze - I would hate to live that far away from a casino.

I'm in the midlands area so don't have to go too far with Waslall & Birmingham being my nearest casinos and that take me about 30mins.

Wish I could help you out fella - would be great to get to a live game with you.

Best of Luck

Hi Trev,

It's a blinking nightmare to be honest, we use to have a poker room in kings lynn and with there being no decent live games about, only the pub games, it use to get very busy with some really good prize pools. Then due to a drop in numbers, they suddenly closed. Gutted had some good cashes in there..

So i either travel to Gt.Yarmouth to g-casino, or northants with a group of 4/5 others prob once ever 4 months, we normally wait till i decent games on before we go though, which we think will produce a decent prizepool. The downside is when you get knocked out early, what do you do when you're the driver, can't drink :-(, and not one for playing fruit machines, other card games, so i end up taking a book to read just in case..Also if you have a deep run, it can be 4am before you're leaving to come home..

Which is why i've been a fair few times on my own, last trip was last month, left home around 1pm, reg'd for 3pm game, out by 4pm, reg'd for 7pm game, was home by 9pm lol, £250 down, not a good day.

Keep trying to get them to go to luton or notts, but they don't seem interested, can't really blame them as good 2 hr drive to either location..

where in walsall/ birmingham do you play, whats prize pools like and buy-ins?
thats a quite easy drive for me, a47/a1m/a14/m6. although good 2 hour drive, depending on traffic.
